New York City-based startup Cover has raised $1.5 million in Seed funding to make it easier to split the cost of meals at restaurants. Investors include O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures, Lerer Ventures and Angels. The app allows diners to check into a meal and simplify the process of splitting the bill. eFuneral, which is an end-of-life planning and funeral home comparison engine, has landed $250,000 in its second round of funding from nonprofit venture organization JumpStart.
