Kitchfix, a Chicago-based meal preparation and delivery service, has raised $300,000 in Seed funding. The round was led by Angel investor Ken Leonard, managing partner at leveraged buyout firm Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, with participation from other unnamed Angels. The startup says it delivers chef-crafted, ready-to-eat meals using locally sourced, organic, gluten, soy and dairy-free ingredients. Meals can be ordered online and are priced at $12 and $15 each for medium and large sizes, respectively. The service is currently available in the Chicago metro area.
The company was founded in 2012 by chef Josh Katt. This is its first round of outside funding.
