Picfair screenshotLondon-based image marketplace Picfair has raised $520,000 in Seed funding. Investors include Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, Max Jennings, Tom Hulme and Duncan Jennings. The company’s platform competes with more established firms like Getty Images by allowing individual photographers to put their pictures up for use and name their own price, while maintaining copyright. Picfair takes 20 percent of the profit from each transaction.

It was founded last year by Benji Lanyado, and this is its first round of outside funding.
