Robin logoBoston-based Robin, a startup that has built ‘smart office’ technology, has raised $1.4 million in Seed funding. Investors include Atlas Venture, Deep Fork Capital, Boldstart Ventures and Space Pirates. The company offers a smart solution for workplaces through presence sensing devices and automation software. The platform allows individuals to do things like auto-book a conference room by staying there for 30 seconds, and access individual room ‘analytics’ and usage insights. It also offers an API to allow users to build custom apps for their offices.

Robin was founded in March of this year by CPO Zach Dunn, CEO Sam Dunn, COO Apolinaras ‘Apollo’ Sinkevicius and CTO Brian Muse. This is its first round of outside funding.
