PRODUCT/SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Our goal is to bring teachers closer together and support them in learning from each other.

Teem helps teachers connect with other teachers in their school and district. Imagine all the 5th grade teachers and all the high school English teachers (and so on) having a place to send quick messages, discuss teaching strategies, and share lesson plans across schools. Teem makes creating these private PLCs easy. Even better – it’s designed so that teachers actually want to use it.

FOUNDERS

Kevin Jenkins is teem’s founder. Previously he was a product manager at Edmodo working on growth and monetization. Before being a PM at PlaySpan (acquired by Visa) and attending theme parties at business school, Kevin was an AmeriCorps volunteer and then staff member managing middle school programs in the Bronx, Harlem, and Queens. He thinks edtech hasn’t lived up to its potential and is excited to see that change.
