Mobile app allows foodies to personalize dining preferences with health-focused suggestions, trustworthy reviews and an extensive list of promos

CHICAGO (July 21, 2015) – Savoir today announced the launch of its free iOS mobile app that offers discerning consumers the ability to instantly discover a curated selection of nearby restaurants. Currently live with more than 600 Chicagoland restaurants, the first-of-its-kind app allows users to create their own personal dining community complete with recommendations, reviews and promotions.

Users looking for an improved dining experience are able to view restaurants that Savoir has researched and carefully selected. Listings include Yelp ratings and up-to- date, complete menus. Savoir includes three distinct and exclusive offerings to further enhance users’ dining discovery and experience:

• FitLens enables credentialed health and fitness professionals (including Savoir’s hand picked expert panel) to share their food and menu reviews, allowing customers to dine out while adhering to their diet and fitness goals.
• With InnerCircle, users can post, view and share reliable reviews within their trusted community of friends, family and coworkers.
• The Promos feature lists a range of special promotions from restaurants and other sources such as Groupon, Amazon Local and Yelp — allowing users to access and choose relevant promotions and deals.

“Savoir is designed to provide the ultimate dining experience, from finding the best restaurants in a specific location, to figuring out places your friends and family have dined and thoroughly enjoyed,” said Nirav Saraiya, co-founder and CEO at Savoir. “FitLens would alleviate the stress, anxiety and social stigma that many people face when eating out while being on a fitness regimen. We want to make the dining experience as healthy, enjoyable and effortless as possible,” said Shatabdi Basu, co-founder and CMO at Savoir.

Savoir plans on expanding to additional key markets by late fall 2015 and is currently working on partnering with restaurants to offer new features such as direct interaction with chefs and restaurant owners, mobile pay, automated wait list updates and more capabilities to improve consumers’ dining experience — all in one unified platform.

The app can be downloaded in the App Store for iOS devices. The Android version of the app will be available later. To find out more about Savoir, visit savoirexp.com.
