AMSTERDAM, December 26, 2015 – PastBook (https://www.pastbook.com), the premier experts in memory preservation, today announced the release of My Year, an app that enables users to instantly collate an entire year of their photographic memories on Facebook or Instagram, and turn them into a beautiful digital or professionally-bound photo book with one simple tap. Available now for download on the Apple App Store or online via the Web, My Year combines the sophistication and artistry of digital photo books with the ease and immediacy of mobile technology, creating an entirely new approach to saving and sharing your memories. Consumers can create their digital photo book in less than 60 seconds, share it for free with family and friends on Facebook, and then turn it into an exquisite hardbound photo book delivered worldwide free of charge directly to their doorstep. Photo books range in price from USD $29 – $120, depending on size, and are being offered at a 30 percent discount in honor of the My Year launch. Watch a very brief video here to see how easy My Year is to use.

Unlike Facebook’s Year in Review tool that focuses solely on the most recent year, My Year allows users to choose 2015 or any other year to create their distinctive keepsake – from 2003-2015 on Facebook or 2010-2015 on Instagram. The My Year app immediately collates all photos and photo captions from the year. Consumers can customize by removing photos or adding photos in which they’ve been tagged. Photo books are printed on silky, high-quality thick paper, and can include up to 1,000 photos on 500 pages. My Year taps into the natural nostalgia and desire to preserve memories and experiences, helping users create a precious keepsake that immortalizes their experiences over the course of one or several years.

“We share over 1.8 billion photos every day on social media, yet most of these images fall into a digital black hole, rarely to be seen again,” said Stefano Cutello, CEO and founder of PastBook. “Digital photo books are popular, but they are time consuming and expensive to create, and as a result, most people get discouraged and simply give up. We are committed to creating the most simple, frictionless experience to preserve and relive memories. Not only does My Year provide a snapshot of the past year on social media, it allows users to collate the entire year or even multiple years into an elegant photo book in one simple step.”

PastBook also announced today it has secured an additional $380K in seed funding from various angel investors and Vortex Capital Partners, bringing the company’s total funding to date to $870K. PastBook is currently in the process of raising its Series A funding.

Download My Year now in the Apple App Store or access My Year online via the Web. Android users will have full access to the My Year experience in late January 2016.
