ELEVATOR PITCH

Receive, return, track and manage online shopping packages using smart technology.

PRODUCT/SERVICE DESCRIPTION

uCella is a package delivery service that allows customers to receive, return, track and manage parcels in a secure and efficient way. The service guarantees that customers will receive their parcels without hassle, meaning no package will be lost, stolen, or missed.

uCella provides its customers with a high-quality expandable container that is designed to endure harsh weather and tampering. The containers are connected to a Wi-Fi network that is synced with the customer’s email account. When a package is delivered, the delivery service employee scans a barcode of the product to unlock the uCella container, and then safely stores the package inside. The customer is then automatically notified from the uCella app that the package has been delivered so that they can can collect it. The uCella app also provides customers with the ability to check retailer return policies, customer support networks and schedule return pickups.

uCella is currently building partnerships with delivery companies and online retailers to implement uCella services on a mass scale.

DIFFERENTIATORS VS. THE COMPETITION

Although traditional delivery services are effective at delivering the vast majority of parcels, many are lost in transition or encounter significant delays between the time the package is sent and received. In these instances, the burden falls on the customer as they are left waiting to receive their packages.

uCella aims to solve this problem by incorporating protective hardware and smart technology into their service to eliminate inefficiencies and wasted resources. The result is an improved experience for the customer, retailers and delivery carriers alike.

FOUNDER’S STORY

The founders of uCella first came together while studying in the MBA program at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. Shuai Jiang, CEO and co-founder of uCella, came up with the idea behind uCella after personally experiencing numerous problems with traditional package delivery services.

BUSINESS MODEL

The uCella device is available for $299. uCella is currently offering an early bird special for a limited time for $129.
