TORONTO – March 22, 2016 – Today, advocate marketing experts Influitive announced the acquisition of startup company Triggerfox, a mobile relationship management application. Triggerfox’s employees bring significant product management and development expertise in building mobile products that help sales representatives build and manage relationships. Triggerfox is the second company Influitive has acquired in less than one month, following the acquisition of Ironark Software in early March.

“Engaging mobile products are now as important to B2B companies as they are to consumers. By more than doubling our mobile talent, we can accelerate our mobile experience efforts and unlock opportunities to innovate in the mobile space for our customers and their advocates,” says Mark Organ, CEO and founder of Influitive. “We’re excited to welcome Triggerfox to the Influitive team and leverage their expertise to expand advocate marketing to the sales domain.”

“Influitive’s work to expand the advocate marketing category is ambitious and exciting. We are thrilled to join the team and help Influitive advance their development of mobile technology and solutions for sales professionals,” says Triggerfox Founder and CEO, Frank Falcone.

B2B buyers are more informed than ever, and often complete most of their buying journey before they reach contact with sales departments. Salespeople are embracing ‘social selling’ in response, and actively coordinate content and relationships to inform buyer decisions.

Buyers trust peers and their own research, and seek information from word of mouth, referrals, and product reviews. Advocacy programs enable sales organizations to generate referrals and references, but now must also mobilize advocates – trusted peers – around a buyer for success.

Using Influitive’s AdvocateHub software, marketers quickly and easily build advocate communities in which members gain recognition and status in exchange for activities that help promote the brand’s interests and reputation. DocuSign’s advocates, for example, have influenced more than $3 million in sales pipeline through referrals and other advocacy activities. HP Software has engaged more than 1,000 IT service management customers in events, content creation and product feedback initiatives. In the first three months of using AdvocateHub, Blackbaud received a year’s worth of referrals from their advocates, while InsightSquared generated more than 100 genuine customer reviews on third-party websites like G2 Crowd, TrustRadius and GetApp.
