COMPANY: QuietKit

ELEVATOR PITCH

QuietKit provides free guided meditation for beginners.

PRODUCT/SERVICE DESCRIPTION

QuietKit provides a straightforward explanation and free guided meditation sessions for beginners, ranging from two-to-ten minutes. QuietKit aims to help busy professionals to fight stress, through providing the tools and advice to encourage people to develop a habitual meditation practice.

DIFFERENTIATORS VS. THE COMPETITION

There are a number of tools and websites that promote meditation, however the free resources for beginners are lacking. QuietKit is different because it clearly explains the benefits of meditation and provides tips and advice for those who might have no prior knowledge or experience of meditation.

The website is very simple and straightforward, users have access to a number of audio tracks that they can start listening to right away. No sign-up, no installs, and no costs.

FOUNDER’S STORY

QuietKit founder John Turner started the company as a result of the stress he experienced when launching another startup. Searching for a way to deal with the pressure he looked for advice and tools online and came upon the concept of meditation and mindfulness in reducing stress. John discovered while there was an abundance of information detailing the benefits of meditation there was very little to help people get started. He created QuietKit as a simple to use tool to help beginners to more easily develop a meditation practice.

BUSINESS MODEL

QuietKit meditation sessions are free and require no sign-up. The company is currently developing a paid Pro membership, offering a greater variety of longer meditation sessions.
