COMPANY: SnapTrends

ELEVATOR PITCH

SnapTrends helps security teams monitor, analyze, and locate social media conversations and posts to protect people and assets.

PRODUCT/SERVICE DESCRIPTION

SnapTrends helps organizations understand social media data for security purposes. The system lets organizations discover and analyze threatening social media posts and conversations. It helps organizations to zero in on the conversations, see what’s influencing them, and find out exactly where they’re happening, allowing organizations to make more informed decisions and better mitigate risks.

SnapTrends not only provides insight by location, but lists trending topics and people on social media whose conversations may be of interest to an organization. It even has the capability to translate over 80 languages.

DIFFERENTIATORS VS. THE COMPETITION

SnapTrends collects data through algorithms and analytics, so the company is able to display 25 times more location-based social media data than other monitoring systems. The user-friendly interface helps users discover social media posts and conversations in real time. This way, information is quickly analyzed and trends are predicted as they happen.

FOUNDERS’ STORY

SnapTrends was founded by Brandon Burris and Eric Klasson; they wanted to help organizations understand and locate social media risks.

Before SnapTrends, Burris was CEO of boutique development firm Paddington Media. Klasson was previously CEO at CrystaTech, a company that develops environmental technology for the energy sector.
