Teamwork.com, the most profitable SaaS startup in Ireland, has announced a rapid expansion of its workforce, with a focus on boosting its development arm.

The business, which has worked with the likes of PayPal, eBay, Disney, Forbes and Spotify, has already increased its workforce from 20 to 70 over the last two years.

Now, the new plans will see Teamwork.com grow by another 50 people, taking the total headcount of its Cork headquarters to 120 by the end of 2017.

CEO and co-founder Peter Coppinger said, “We have just spent the last nine months completely rebuilding our core product making it faster and more modern. This would not have been possible without our talented team of developers.

“Here at Teamwork.com, developers make an impact on the product every day which impacts hundreds of thousands of people.”

In total, 80 percent of the new hires will work in development. Forty of the new positions include front end developers; Android and iOS developers, new product developers and more. The remaining 10 positions will be filled by sales, support and back office staff.

Teamwork.com has received support from Enterprise Ireland, the government organization responsible for the development and growth of Irish enterprises in world markets.

Julie Sinnamon, Enterprise Ireland CEO, said, “Enterprise Ireland has worked closely with Teamwork over the years to support them in their global ambition to grow a strong international customer base.

“As a significant employer in the Cork region, it is a great pleasure to see this highly innovative SaaS company go from strength-to-strength with further plans for expansion and recruitment here in Ireland. Enterprise Ireland will continue to work with Teamwork as it expands its global customer base and we wish the company every success for the future.”
