Los Angeles-Area Companies Selected for DEMO 07
1/29/07 – Six companies from the greater Los Angeles area have been chosen to participate in the DEMO 07 conference, taking place this week. Those selected include Panjea and Shipwire.com, based in Los Angeles, eJamming, based in Valley Village, and TeleFlip, based in Santa Monica. Other local companies selected include Newport Beach-based CircleUp and Irvine-based Integrien.
The DEMO conferences are notable for the format, which allows startups and companies with innovative new products to launch in front of media, investors, business development executives and other entrepreneurs. This year, according to show organizers, 68 carefully vetted products and services will be introduced at the event.
The Los Angeles-area companies selected represent a wide range of services and technologies, from Panjea, a social networking site for artists, to Shipwire.com, an order fulfillment and shipping company, to TeleFlip, which offers PC-to-mobile device text messaging.
In its 17th year, past DEMO events have served as a launch pad event for companies like Palm, E*Trade, Handspring and U.S. Robotics. The show will take place this Tuesday through Thursday in Palm Desert.
