1/16/07 - Xirrus, the Westlake Village-based provider of high-performance, long-range Wi-Fi products, announced today that smplsolutions has begun deploying Xirrus’ award-winning Wi-Fi Array within several vertical applications including education, warehousing and medical facilities.

Xirrus Arrays pack 4, 8 or 16 radios along with an onboard Gigabit Ethernet Switch into a compact, ceiling mountable device that supports 802.11a, b and g and has been architected in advance to fully support 802.11n when the standard is ratified. The high radio count and sectored antenna system allows Xirrus customers to support a large number of users with less devices while lowering costs.
