Amp’d Mobile Launches Original Series
2/27/07 – Amp’d Mobile, the Los Angeles-based mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), today announced the launch of its newest made-for-mobile animated series, “Lil’ Hollywood.” Amp’d says the parody series will follow the adventures of Hollywood’s hottest celebrities.
“We realized, ‘Hey, these Hollywood celebrities are pretty funny – why doesn't anyone ever make fun of them,’” said series creator and industry veteran Donick Cary, writer for “The Simpsons”, “Just Shoot Me” and “Late Night with David Letterman.”
“Lil’ Hollywood” is the second made-for-mobile partnership between Amp’d and Cary who, according to the company, teamed to create this series with Tony Barbieri, writer of “The Man Show” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” and Rich Goodman, writer of “According to Jim.”
A new episode will be featured each week for the next six weeks on Amp’d Live.
The company is offering sneak peaks of the first episode of “Lil’ Hollywood” online at LilHollywood.ampd.com.
