Fonality Wins Product of the Year Award
2/2/07 - Los Angeles-based Fonality announced this week that TMC's Internet Telephony magazine has named HUD (Heads Up Display), Fonality's universal contact management and call control application, a recipient of a 2006 Product of the Year award for "outstanding innovation."
Fonality is a provider of open source telephony systems for small and medium sized businesses.
The company says that its HUD product is a universal contact management application that provides company-wide visibility and interaction with every employee from the desktop and includes secure chat, cell phone integration and employee presence management. Together with its PBXtra product Fonality is able to provide enterprise-class features to its customers.
Fonality is the third local company awarded a 2006 Internet Telephony Product of the Year award. The magazine also awarded Pasadena-based ClearMesh Networks and Newbury Park-based EdenTree Technologies.
“We are elated that Internet Telephony magazine has awarded Fonality a ‘Product of the Year Award’ two years in a row,” said Chris Lyman, Fonality's founder and CEO. “HUD allows employees to control their phone and phone system in real-time, with their mouse; it is a revolutionary experience.”
