Central Desktop Wins Entrepreneurial Spirit Award
4/27/07 – Pasadena-based Central Desktop, developer of a web-based collaboration platform, has been awarded the Entretech PricewaterhouseCoopers Entrepreneurial Spirit Award.
The Entretech PricewaterhouseCoopers awards recognize successful early stage companies who achieve early market acceptance, product revenues and who show exceptional ability to overcome obstacles and execute, according to Entretech. Additional local startup companies recognized in other categories include LegalZoom and Prolacta Bioscience.
“Central Desktop stood out amongst the candidates as a company whose founders best represented what it takes as a team to build a successful company,” said Stephanie Yanchinski, executive director of Entretech. “The immense energy and commitment displayed in building a solid business just had to be recognized with a special award.”
Based at the Caltech campus in the San Gabriel Valley, Entretech is an entrepreneurial business support association serving the Los Angeles region. The organization says it has more than 250 participating member companies, and recently announced that vice provosts from USC and UCLA joined Caltech on the Entretech board.
