Siderean Sets Relational Navigation Performance Record
4/30/07 – El Segundo-based Siderean Software, a provider of relational navigation solutions that allow users to sort through information to find and act on relationships and connections, today announced the company has exceeded 1 billion resource description framework (RDF) relations in a pilot deployment for Elsevier, the publisher of scientific and technical research. Siderean says this is an industry-first milestone and was reached during a proof-of-concept evaluation using Siderean’s flagship Seamark Navigator information access platform.
RDF relations, according to the company, refer to metadata statements generated through RDF that can be analyzed and sorted on a massive scale using Siderean’s relational navigation technology.
Siderean was founded in 2001 and is backed by venture firms Clearstone Venture Partners, InnoCal Venture Capital and Red Rock Ventures.
