Amp’d Mobile Partners with Teradata in CRM Pact
5/14/07 – Amp’d Mobile, the Los Angeles-based mobile phone service and content provider, and Teradata, a division of NCR Corporation, have announced that Amp’d has selected Teradata’s customer relationship management application for its marketing initiatives.
The companies say the first phase of the project will begin with Amp’d’s integration of 10 sources of operational data into Teradata’s enterprise data warehouse, allowing Amp’d’s marketing team to enhance customers’ experience through segmentation and creation of multichannel campaigns based on customer behavior.
The goal of the project, the companies say, will be to make mobile data such as ring tones, games and videos available at the “subscriber level,” with eventual integration of Amp’d’s handset and web site information.
Teradata and Amp’d also announced an agreement to develop a strategic partnership around this implementation. As part of this agreement, Teradata says it will be able to leverage the intellectual property gained to augment its solutions for the wireless industry.
