eNom Rings Up .TV Domain Sales of $500K in First 24 Hours

5/4/07 – Santa Monica-based eNom, a domain wholesaler and wholly-owned subsidiary of Demand Media, announced today it sold approximately $500,000 in .TV names in the first 24 hours of the domain’s availability.  The .TV top-level domains (TLDs) were released to market late Monday afternoon by eNom after a five-month hiatus.

The release of the domain names this week was timed in conjunction with the introduction of Me.tv, what Demand calls the first integrated suite of proprietary social media tools that allow anyone to own, program and share their own personal video-centric web site with social networking features and content controlled by them.  The company says the tools are provided free with a .TV domain name purchased through Me.tv or through an eNom reseller.
