Fonality Reaches Milestone with Call Center Product

5/3/07 – Fonality, the Culver City-based open source telephony company, today announced that more than 1,000 businesses are using the company’s PBXtra Call Center Edition software to deploy call center operations.  The company says its product allows small-and-medium size businesses (SMBs) to run a call center operation at a fraction of the price of traditional systems, allowing them to successfully compete with larger contact centers.

The PBXtra Call Center Edition, according to Fonality, is a full-featured call center for SMBs that supports agents working on premise, at home or from any remote location, and includes feature-rich capabilities such as branch office agent sharing, on-the-fly recording, barging, monitoring, text whisper/coach, web and phone agent log-in, real-time and historical graphical queues and agent presence management.

This milestone follows on the heels of Fonality’s announcement that it reached the 2,000 customer mark for its standard PBXtra system.  The company has been one of the more active early-stage companies in the Los Angeles area this year.
