Sonos Debuts New Version of Digital Music System, Includes Pandora Personalized Radio
5/23/07 – Sonos, the Santa Barbara-based developer of wireless multi-room home music systems, today announced it has released a new version of the Sonos System Software that brings the Pandora personalized radio service to the Sonos Digital Music System.
Sonos says the addition of Pandora expands its home audio experience, providing access to more music services than any other whole-home digital music system on the market. The free software upgrade is available to all registered Sonos customers via Sonos’ wireless handheld Controller, according to the company.
The integration of Pandora with the Sonos system allows users to create and play up to 100 radio stations based on their favorite songs or artists, according to Sonos. Users can rate the music they hear to further refine the station’s playlist on the fly.
The partnership allows Sonos Digital Music System users to create and play Pandora radio stations all over the home without installing an application or turning on a computer.
Sonos says it is offering new and current customers a free 30-day trial of Pandora starting today.
