Xirrus Extends Wi-Fi Alliance Security and Interoperability Certifications

5/8/07 – Westlake Village-based Xirrus, the provider of high-performance, long-range wi-fi products, announced today that its family of wireless Arrays has been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance certification program.  The certification ensures users of the strongest modes of wi-fi security and interoperability using an advanced enterprise wireless security infrastructure, according to Xirrus.

The latest certifications cover interoperability across specific wi-fi standards, and wireless security for specific systems that provide government-grade security mechanisms for personal and enterprise use.

Xirrus says its patented Array platform integrates 4, 8 or 16 access points with an onboard gigabit switch, wireless controller, firewall and a dedicated threat sensor into a single device.  In addition to the family of Arrays, Xirrus also offers a centralized management system, RF planning tools, and wireless intrusion detection and prevention products.
