Cognition Technologies in Marketing Partnership
6/5/07 – Santa Monica-based Cognition, the linguistic search technology startup, and Cuadra Associates have announced the signing of a marketing partnership agreement where Cuadra will promote Cognition’s linguistic meaning-based search software, CognitionSearch, to the U.S. and international library markets.
The companies say the partnership agreement calls for Cuadra, which provides a family of information management applications that enable users to implement applications quickly and with minimal effort, to actively promote and introduce CognitionSearch to its existing and prospective customers. Cognition Technologies will provide training, sales support, and post sales implementation and account management.
Cognition says its patented linguistic, meaning-based search technology is designed to increase the precision and recall of search results. CognitionSearch is based upon computational linguistic science, and “teaches” computers the meanings of virtually all words, phrases, and concepts in the common English language.
The company was founded in 2004 and is backed by individuals and angel investors including the Tech Coast Angels.
