Eisner’s Vuguru to Produce Second Original Web Series
6/28/07 – Beverly Hills-based Vuguru, the new media studio founded by former Disney chief Michael Eisner, has announced that it will team up with Dinosaur Diorama Productions to produce its second original series, to be called “The All-For-Nots.”
The team at Dinosaur Diorama previously created a successful web-based series called “The Burg.”
Vuguru has found early success with the studio’s first production, called “Prom Queen,” which was nominated for an Emmy. The company also announced the studio would produce a continuation of the series for the summer called “Prom Queen Summer Heat.”
The All-For-Nots is currently in pre-production, according to the company, with plans for each episode to air from 7-to-10 minutes. Like Prom Queen, the series will be available both on its own web site and across web video properties like You Tube.
The Vuguru studio is a part of Eisner’s The Tornante Company, which invests in and incubates new media companies. Tornante also holds ownership stakes in Veoh Networks and Team Baby Entertainment.
