Gumiyo Offers Google Base Listings via Cell Phone
6/22/07 – Woodland Hills-based Gumiyo, a startup that develops e-commerce solutions for mobile devices, this week announced that it has integrated Google Base listings into its mobile commerce service. By extending the inventory found in Google Base classified content listings to cell phones, Gumiyo says it can match and deliver those listings to interested buyers wherever they are.
The company says it enhances classified listings with SMS text-messaging and web-activated telephony so that buyers can directly reach sellers from a mobile listing, any time and from anywhere. In reverse, sellers become available anytime and anywhere, no matter whether a buyer connects with a seller from a mobile phone or from email, says Gumiyo.
The company recently announced a partnership with edgeio, the online classifieds provider, to bring edgeio’s listings to mobile devices.
