Interneer Awarded Patent for Instant Application Platform
6/27/07 – Los Angeles-based Interneer, creator of the Instant Application Platform, or IAP, which it says allows companies to configure web-based applications with integrated workflow without programming, said today it has been awarded a U.S. patent for its technology.
The patent, entitled “Knowledge Management System and Method,” defines the IAP as a knowledge management system that automatically determines the manner in which to capture data as it is initially entered, ensuring all corresponding data will be captured in the same format in the future. This methodology provides a structure for creating user-defined workflows, templates and tables built upon stored and collected data, according to Interneer.
The company says that using its IAP, businesses can design, configure and deploy scalable, reliable solutions through an intuitive point and click environment, hosted online or installed on-site, allowing application and workflow processes to be configured without supplementary tools or products.
Earlier this month, Interneer announced that it had received an investment of $2 million from GroundWork Equity. At the same time, GroundWork’s founding and managing partner Michael Edell was named CEO.
