Reunion.com Partners with American Red Cross

6/13/07 – Los Angeles-based Reunion.com, the social networking site focused on helping people find and reconnect with old friends, relatives and classmates, has announced a strategic partnership with the American Red Cross to raise funds for disaster relief efforts.  The company says the 45-day program started on Monday and it expects to raise $40,000 for the organization by donating one dollar for every new Reunion.com subscription.

Fifty percent of donations will be given to the Santa Monica chapter of the Red Cross to aid local disaster victims as well as other recipients of Red Cross services, including youth, military families, seniors and other at-risk groups in Santa Monica, according to the company.  The other half will be provided for the Red Cross National Disaster Relief Fund, which offers assistance during all national disasters including hurricanes, tornadoes and earthquakes.

Reunion.com was founded in 2002 by entrepreneur Jeffrey Tinsley, and also recently announced the hiring of Dipik Rai as vice president of strategy.
