Amp’d Mobile Customers Get One Week Reprieve

7/24/07 – Just days after revealing that it would be shutting down as early as today and selling its assets, Los Angeles-based wireless service provider Amp’d Mobile now says in a customer FAQ that it won’t shut down until July 31st.  In addition, multiple sources report that the company’s network service provider and largest creditor, Verizon Wireless, will allow the company to continue to serve customers for another week—the date its assets are reportedly set to be auctioned.

Reports also say that the entire operation will be sold off, including its Amp’d Canada and Japan businesses, and its content properties.
