Connexus Acquires Online Ad Serving Technology
7/12/07 – El Segundo-based Connexus today announced it has completed the purchase of the technology assets of AdModus, developer of a proprietary ad serving platform. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
AdModus, founded in 2006 and based in New York City, developed an ad serving system that it says was designed from the ground up to maximize a publisher’s yields using contextual and behavioral targeting data, along with an advanced optimization engine designed to deliver highly targeted traffic and nearly real-time results.
The companies say the platform provides the ideal complement to existing Connexus offerings and expands the company’s platform for targeting and tracking ads.
Connexus is the result of a merger a year ago between El Segundo-based Vendare Media and Mountain View-based Netblue. The company provides a multi-channel advertising network that it says gets over 30 billion impressions monthly and provides advertisers with 20 million leads and customers annually through its network.
