Inphi Names New CEO

7/24/07 – Westlake Village-based Inphi today announced that Young K. Sohn has been named the company’s CEO.

Sohn was most recently president of Agilent Technologies’ semiconductor group.  Prior experience also includes a stint as chairman and CEO of Oak Technology, a digital media semiconductor company, and co-president of Quantum Corporation, a data storage solution products manufacturer.  In addition, Sohn founded and built Intel’s Korea business and managed the Samsung-Intel strategic partnership.  He also started the company’s PC chipset business unit while at Intel.

Inphi chairman Dado Banatao cited Sohn’s experience with the Asian market as particularly attractive to Inphi, because of the companys emergence in that region.

Inphi, which was founded in late 2000, designs and develops integrated circuits for processing high-speed digital data in computing and communications systems.
