Oversee.net CEO Wins Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award
7/2/07 – Lawrence Ng, co-founder and CEO of Los Angeles-based Oversee.net, has been named the winner of the Greater Los Angeles edition of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 award in the technology category. Oversee is an online media company operating in the domain and online marketing services businesses that was founded in 2000 by Ng and Fred Hsu.
The award gives recognition to outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses.
Oversee.net was recently ranked as the third fastest growing private business in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Business Journal, and received the 2007 “Internet and New Media Company of the Year” award from the Technology Council of Southern California.
In the domain management sector, the company owns DomainSponsor, which enables the monetization of Internet domains, and SnapNames, which makes expired and deleting domain names available for purchase. Oversee also offers marketing services in specific vertical markets, including mortgages and travel through its sites Low.com and Lowfares.com.
Oversee now counts more than 200 employees working out of its downtown L.A. headquarters and offices in Portland, Ore., and San Mateo, Calif.
