Spot Runner and United Talent Agency Launch Online Content Company
7/11/07 – Internet-based ad agency Spot Runner and Hollywood talent firm United Talent Agency have launched a new Los Angeles-based online content firm that the companies say “provides professional content creators access to financing, speed to market, greater ownership over their intellectual property and participation in all revenue streams including advertising.” Called 60Frames Entertainment, Spot Runner and United Talent say it has raised $3.5 million in initial funding from Tudor Investment Corporation and the Pilot Group.
Brent Weinstein, a veteran in the digital entertainment space and to this point head of United Talent’s digital media department and the agency’s new UTA Online division, has been named CEO of the new company.
Spot Runner and United Talent say 60Frames was formed in response to the creative and advertising communities’ need to optimize the financial and creative potential of digital content distributed through the Internet. They also say that it will collaborate with advertisers to create immersive online branding to better connect their company and products to targeted audiences. 60Frames’ programming will be available through top video portals, social network web sites, and mobile broadband outlets.
Spot Runner says it will play an integral role in 60Frames’ advertising strategy, and the company says its sales force will represent 60Frames in creating relationships with leading marketers and selling advertising inventory.
