Amp’d Executives Could End Up at Clearwire

8/10/07 – MocoNews is reporting that former executives of bankrupt cell phone service and mobile content provider Amp’d Mobile, including founder and former CEO Peter Adderton, are close to joining the team at Clearwire, a wireless broadband Internet service provider based in Kirkland, Washington.

The site also reports that Seth Cummings, former senior vice president of content at Amp’d and current executive producer of Comedy Central show Lil’ Bush, an Amp’d Mobile content play that was picked up by the network as a full-fledged series, may also join Clearwire.

There has been much speculation about what would happen to the content assets and team Amp’d assembled to develop its content properties since it decided to shut down and sell its wireless service assets to Prexar Mobile.  Besides the successful Lil’ Bush project, Amp’d signed deals with several Hollywood producers and built a formidable content offering for its subscribers.
