Xirrus Deploys Wi-Fi at Florida’s Saint Leo University

8/30/07 – Westlake Village-based Xirrus has announced yet another deployment of its Wi-Fi Arrays at a school—this time at Saint Leo University in Florida.  Xirrus develops and deploys high-performance, long-range wi-fi products.  The network is going to serve approximately 14,000 students, teachers and administration staff at the University, according to Xirrus.

Earlier this month, the company deployed a wi-fi network in a temporary school facility in tornado-ravaged Greensburg, Kansas.  The company, founded in 2004 by former Xircom executives, is backed by investors that include U.S. Venture Partners and August Capital.
