Passenger Appoints COO

9/17/07 – Passenger, the Los Angeles-based provider of on-demand software that creates private brand communities for company collaboration with customers, today named Steve Howe, former executive at Atlanta-based Internet service provider EarthLink, as chief operating officer.  Passenger says Howe will oversee strategic planning, business development, sales and finance, day-to-day operations, and will spearhead the company’s New York expansion while evaluating additional growth opportunities.

Howe served as senior vice president of EarthLink’s voice business and managed the national rollout of EarthLink’s voice products.  Before joining EarthLink, Howe was an associate principal at McKinsey & Company, where he was a leader in the North American growth practice and North American service operations practice.

Passenger develops software-as-a-service that enables brands and customers to collaborate within the social context of a private online community.
