Vuguru Signs New Distribution Deals
Tweet9/11/07 – Following on the heels of its agreement with Blinkx.com, Beverly Hills-based Vuguru has announced the signing of a number of distribution deals with new media destinations including digital media platforms like MySpace and YouTube for Prom Queen: Summer Heat, the spin-off of the Emmy-nominated broadband series Prom Queen. Vuguru, founded by Michael Eisner, is owned by Eisner’s Tornante Company.
Vuguru says it has reached deals for the Prom Queen sequel with Bebo, MySpace, YouTube, Veoh, Verizon Wireless V CAST Video, Imeem and Revver. The company says it also has a deal in place with VideoEgg, which uses video overlay technology that is used as a content distribution method, as well as with Starstyle.com, an e-commerce site for TV shows and other entertainment properties.
New episodes of Prom Queen: Summer Heat are being delivered in 15 two-minute episodes throughout August and September on the various different platforms.
Tornante also holds ownership stakes in Veoh and Team Baby Entertainment.
