Xirrus Deploys Wi-Fi Network at Church Complex

9/27/07 – Westlake Village-based Xirrus, the provider of high-performance, long-range wi-fi products, continued its string of rollouts this week with the announcement that Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia, has deployed Xirrus Wi-Fi Arrays throughout its classroom areas to support the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  The Church has been serving as a remote campus for the Seminary for over a year.

Xirrus says the network will provide church members, seminary students and staff with a reliable, high-performing wi-fi network that is replacing a legacy wi-fi architecture at the location that could not scale to meet the increased performance and density demands the church needed for its classroom areas.

The company was founded in 2004 and is backed by U.S. Venture Partners and August Capital.
