EI Solutions to Build Solar Installation for Sony Pictures Entertainment
10/5/07 – Pasadena-based EI Solutions, the systems integration arm of Energy Innovations, has been chosen by Sony Pictures Entertainment to construct a pilot solar electricity system at the studio’s Culver City headquarters. The installation will be part of an expansion project underway at the historic studio lot.
The companies say the design phase of the solar system has commenced, with installation scheduled to begin this month and completion expected in early 2008. The solar panels will be located on the rooftop of the studio’s Jimmy Stewart Building.
EI Solutions has completed projects for a wide variety of public agencies and private companies, including the largest solar installation on a U.S. corporate campus at Google’s Mountain View headquarters. The company is an Idealab startup.
