Oracle Buys LogicalApps
Tweet10/10/07 – Oracle has announced that it has agreed to acquire Irvine-based LogicalApps, a provider of embedded governance software for enterprises that delivers out-of-the-box automated enterprise application controls in the areas of access, setup and transaction monitoring.
Oracle says that LogicalApps’ portfolio of control management solutions is expected to further strengthen its comprehensive GRC applications suite, which helps customers manage compliance with multiple regulations, control IT and business process risk, and monitor GRC objectives and results.
The companies have not revealed the acquisition price or the terms of the deal. However, Oracle says the transaction is expected to close next month.
LogicalApps was founded in 2000 by Chris Capdevila and Paul Brunskow. Its investors include Sequoia Capital and Mission Ventures.
