The Rubicon Project Launches Web Site

10/8/07 – Newly-formed online marketing and advertising firm The Rubicon Project has officially launched the beta version of its online advertising “self-serve” web site.  The Los Angeles-based startup says its offering enables web sites to optimize for 300 ad networks in one place.

The founding team at The Rubicon Project is comprised of online marketing and advertising veterans with experience at a broad spectrum of well-know firms, including adMonitor, MySpace, YesMail, FastClick and ValueClick.  The firm was founded by Internet marketing veteran and serial entrepreneur Frank Addante.

The Rubicon Project says its technology uses geographic, demographic and contextual information to intelligently match ad impressions to ad networks.  The service is designed for a range of web sites—from small blogs to large online brands, according to the company.

The company announced last week that it has closed a $6 million funding round.
