Ripple Expands Leadership Team

11/15/07 – Ripple, the El Segundo-based startup which delivers hyper-local content on flat screen panels in public locations, today announced the addition of Briggs Ferguson to its board of directors, and John Richards and T.S. Ramakrishnan to its advisory board.

Ferguson is a former CEO of IAC/InterActiveCorp’s Citysearch.  Prior to joining Citysearch, he served as executive vice president, marketing and product strategy for Launch Media Inc., which was eventually acquired by Yahoo!

Ramakrishnan is an experienced technology architect who most recently served as vice president of engineering at Facebook.  He has also served in executive engineering positions at Yahoo! and Skype.

Ripple says its executive team is now comprised of 11 leading technology, media and entertainment experts, each with a significant track record in his field of expertise.

Founded in 2004, Ripple has built a network of television screens in public locations throughout Washington, California, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii, that now consists of more than 500 locations.  Earlier this week, the company announced a partnership with Borders bookstores to eventually install its screens in 250 stores nationwide.
