Big Stage Names CEO
Tweet12/21/07 – Big Stage, the Pasadena-based startup that offers a 3D avatar creation tool, announced this week that Chuck Huebner, former head of worldwide studios at Activision, has been hired as president and CEO. Big Stage unveiled its technology earlier this week. In a nutshell, it allows users to easily create and integrate a life-like 3D avatar of themselves into media like famous movie scenes, TV shows and video games.
At Activision, Huebner oversaw more than 1,500 employees and was responsible for the creation and production of all of the company’s games. Prior to Activision, Huebner was president and CEO of Wizards of the Coast, the hobby and game subsidiary of Hasbro. He also worked in senior management roles with Coca-Cola, and co-founded ERS International, a cutting-edge technology platform for retail, which went public in 1992.
Big Stage’s technology is the result of a nine-year research project at the University of Southern California.
