Interneer Appoints New Board Member
1/10/08 – Interneer, the Culver City-based web application software developer, has announced that Frank Perna Jr. has been elected to its board of directors. Perna joins board members Jim Collins, the renowned entrepreneur and businessman, and Michael Edell, managing partner of Groundwork Equity, who also serves as Interneer’s CEO.
Perna currently serves on the MIT Entrepreneurship Center dean’s advisory council and on the board of trustees at Kettering University. He retired from MSC Software in 2005 after serving as chairman and CEO since December 1998.
He also serves as a director of CalAmp, Inc., a manufacturer of microwave products, PeopleSupport, Inc., the offshore business process outsourcing provider, and at Ping Identity Corp., a software identification security company.
In 1988, Perna was honored as the SoCal Entrepreneur of The Year by Ernst & Young. He also garnered the 2002 CEO of the Year award from the Software Council of Southern California.
Over the summer, Interneer secured a $2 million investment by GroundWork Equity that coincided with the appointment of GroundWork managing partner Michael Edell as CEO.
