Sally Ride to Headline 5th Annual Los Angeles Tech Week
Tweet1/11/08 – The 5th Annual Los Angeles County Technology Week is coming up during the last week of the month—January 28-31, 2008.
According to Technology Week’s executive committee, highlights include a keynote presentation from astronaut and scientist Sally Ride. She will talk about “America’s Future in Space” during an awards luncheon where the first-ever Technology Leadership Award winners will be announced.
Technology Week will also include the 3rd annual Tech Coast Angels “Fast Pitch” competition, where entrepreneurs try to win the attention and mentorship of Tech Coast angel investors. Fast Pitch will be held on January 28 at UCLA.
In addition, keynote speakers and panels around the theme of “Enterprise of the Future” will be held throughout the week at USC, Cal State Long Beach, Loyola Marymount University and Woodbury University. The executive committee says topics will include Aerospace, Aviation and National Security Technology Convergence, Organizational Structure Transformation and Collaboration, The Future of Technology and World Trade, and Challenges in Portable, Mobile and Broadband.
