Funding and Acquisitions Roundup: No Series A crunch here: Enterprise IT continues to capture big investment—HG Data, SwiftStack and Catchpoint Systems announce significant new rounds

Today’s early-stage startup funding and acquisitions news:

Enterprise

HG Data, which helps enterprise technology salespeople utilize big data to land big sales has raised $2 million in what is being described as a venture funding round. The company, which was founded in 2010, previously raised a $1 million Seed round and a $1 million Angel round. More about the funding via GigaOM.

Software-defined storage startup SwiftStack has landed $6.1 million in Series A funding, led by Mayfield Fund. The company raised $1.5 million in Seed funding in May, 2012. Read more about the news funding via GigaOM.

New York City-based Catchpoint Systems has garnered $3.2 million in Series A funding to build out the company’s web performance, application monitoring and real-time analytics platform. Catchpoint was founded in 2008 by former Google and DoubleClick veterans and previously raised two venture rounds totaling more than $1.5 million. Cloud

Oracle has agreed to acquire private cloud management company Nimbula. As of early Wednesday morning, the terms have not yet been disclosed. Read about the details via GigaOM.
