CityKart is a new mobile app that provides consumers the convenience of having groceries delivered to their doorsteps from a selection of local markets in the US such as: Trader Joe’s, Costco, Safeway, 99 Ranch, and Arteaga’s. Since their launch in early 2015 in San Jose and UC Davis, CityKart has gained traction generating orders and repeat customers. There is exciting potential in the grocery delivery market, with a projected 26% CAGR reaching $60B in 2019.

CityKart continues to develop multiple partnerships with local small & medium grocery chains and other retailers. The app provides a unique opportunity for these grocers, allowing them to expand their sales revenue without the added overhead of additional store space and staff.

“Students are excited and loving the app”, says CEO and Founder George Zhao.”

A testimonial from a student at UC Davis named Karen Brahney, states:

“This app was easy to download and use. They had all the groceries I wanted and I was able to use the promo code to get my free delivery! I will definitely use this CityKart again!”

“We discovered the value students were placing onto the CityKart app early on, which prompted us toward using community crowdsourcing (student drivers) to do deliveries. We’re offering students jobs which brings an added value to CityKart. It’s a great way for them to earn part-time income while attending college, and we feel they will help spread the CityKart culture of convenient shopping via the app amongst their fellow students,” says Zhao.
