COMPANY: FactoryFix

ELEVATOR PITCH

Online marketplace for industrial services.

PRODUCT/SERVICE DESCRIPTION

FactoryFix helps industrial and manufacturing companies get projects done by connecting them with local experts that specialize in exactly the type of work they need done. We are an online marketplace for any service you would need in a factory, including: Engineering Services, Equipment Maintenance, Repair Services, System Integration, and more.

DIFFERENTIATORS VS. THE COMPETITION

FactoryFix will compete with established industrial directories like ThomasNet or GlobalSpec that have essentially evolved from old, thousand-page catalogs. There are a few online marketplaces like MFG.com or Ariba that are tailored to the manufacturing industry, but they have a much more limited offering than FactoryFix.

BUSINESS MODEL

We make money by charging our experts a lead generation fee for projects that we bring them.

FOUNDERS

Founder/CEO: Patrick O’Rahilly is a graduate of Arizona State University and is a co-founder of Compass Automation, a company that designs and builds custom automation systems. Magazine list of the 500 fastest-growing private companies in America. The company has built automation systems for some of the world’s leading manufacturing companies, including Raytheon, Regal Beloit, and Caterpillar. Patrick developed and tested some of the business hypothesis of FactoryFix before making the jump to start the company in early-2015.
