COMPANY: RocketClub

ELEVATOR PITCH

RocketClub helps high growth companies incentivize early adopters to adopt their product, give feedback and refer friends in exchange for a stake in the company.

PRODUCT/SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Startups list on the RocketClub website and run 45-day campaigns seeking a goal number of members for a percentage share of the company. In return for getting shares, members adopt the startup’s product, offer feedback, and help with promotion.

DIFFERENTIATORS VS. THE COMPETITION

RocketClub is the first crowd ownership platform for startups to distribute shares to their users. It differentiates from other platforms in the market by allowing companies to crowdsource shares in the company (ownership) in exchange for a time investment by the crowd.

FOUNDERS’ STORY

Two serial entrepreneurs and MIT alums, Erik Chan and Paul Chen, founded RocketClub to solve a problem owned by the founders themselves. They wanted a solution to align the long-term goals of creators and users, and help startups solve the user acquisition and growth problem by getting users who are incentivized with a stake in the company to help promote, adopt, and give product feedback.
