ShopCo’s one-click buy button has finally made it possible to purchase anything online instantly without having to register or deal with a 10-to-15 step checkout process ever again. Sure, there are other ‘buy button’ solutions, including PayPal, Google, Apple and MasterCard. What makes ShopCo different is that our solution works with any and all online shops in the U.S. Instead of having technical integrations with online merchants, we developed a radical new technology that understands front-end structures of online stores and is able to duplicate human activity.
Although some companies have attempted to achieve a similar goal, this idea was originally the brainchild of founder and CEO, Jay Habib. Soon after, he received support from Manuel Schoebel in order to build a prototype and to raise the first tier of funding. Martin Kassing and Tim Yavuz soon joined as entrepreneurial managers in business development and operations, respectively. Now with 30 employees and still growing, the team at ShopCo leads us ever-closer towards our goal to make online shopping a simpler and more pleasant experience.
Jay Habib, founder and CEO – Before ShopCo, Jay founded several startups and gained professional experience in business development, consulting, and private equity. He loves disruptive business models and challenging the status quo.
Manuel Schoebel, co-founder and CTO – Manuel is the technical mastermind behind ShopCo, a passionate MeteorJS pioneer and well-known coder in the global tech community. He was the one to bring the initial idea of ShopCo to life. Manuel loves technical solutions that solve big problems, and is an enthusiastic drummer.
Martin Kassing, Business Development – Martin is responsible for user growth and steers all strategic partnerships and fundraising efforts. As a previous founder of a tech startup and a leading private equity fund in Europe, he understands growth and stakeholder management from the inside out.
Tim Yavuz, Operations and Product – Tim is responsible for the operations and product development. Prior to ShopCo, he was an entrepreneur at Rocket Internet and a founder of an edtech company. Due to his vast experience and mindset, he guarantees smooth operational and product processes.
